Jamal Alleyne and Luke Hippolyte make up the U.K.'s Stooki Sound, a duo known in the music industry for their heavily trap and grime-influenced sounds, and also known in the fashion realm for their original design work and collaborations with Top Man and Selfridges. On the heels of their most recent EP release, Osiris, the multi-talented artists stopped by The Well to get fitted and have a chat ahead of their upcoming Los Angeles show at the El Rey Theater on December 3.
Hippolyte, who takes charge of the fashion side of Stooki Sound, says that his personal style is defined by U.K. vibes from home, "I like a lot of streetwear, like London streetwear and sportswear." His must-have style staple is a hat, " I’ve got a lot of different style caps I like to wear on tour.” While Alleyne prefers watches as his go-to accessory, “I have, like, 10 watches from different brands.” And likes to stay cozy above all, “[I wear] a lot of black, a lot of comfortable tracksuits, and London wear. I don’t really wear tight-fitted things, I like a lot of baggy clothing.”
Photographer K.C. Nekro shot the below photoseries, and The Well’s Jeremy Yuge styled the outfits. Enter to win tickets to see Stooki Sound at the El Rey Theater on December 3 by heading to Twitter to RT this blog post!
